Young Adult Month

  • Feb. 15th, 2007 at 9:46 AM

Well I noticed everyone else is doing a great job with their blog and decided I should really try to keep my end of the deal. Now that its February Young Adult Month has come and gone, but with such great success the buzz is still going. I was fortunate enough to attend a small segment of the Sons and Daughters retreat and was amazed at the depth of faith the young adults were able to share with each other. Renew International, a group that helped the young adult council in planning and training teams for TOT has developed a Young Adult Series that parishes can use to continue their outreach to young adults with small christian communities. Check with your pastor to see when a group is forming in your parish.

This Saturday is Noodle night and I am sure it will be filled with young adults who continue the fire started within them this past month.

I understand from conversations with Sr. Loretta that TOT was so successful they are planning on starting a summer series. Several bishops have even agreed to join in.

Peace,
Al

New Web Site

  • Nov. 3rd, 2006 at 11:57 AM

Welcome to the New Website for the Archdiocesan office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry. This has been a long time coming and we are glad to finally have a site that is both user friendly and informative for our parish Coordinators of Youth Ministry. I hope you will take the time to search around and let us know what you think and how we can better serve you.

Our Retreat Center is a great asset to young people in the Archdiocese. There are many opportunities for retreats, personal growth and spiritual healing. I invite you to view the many posibilities for both your own and your parish spritual journey.
